A Wooly Christmas Greeting: Free Pattern & Printable
I want to take a moment to say Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you have a joyous season of gathering, preparing, and praising.
In the spirit of giving which abounds at Christmastime, I have designed a free pattern and printable download as a gift to you, my lovely blog readers and customers. It has been such a wonderful year, filled with new projects and ideas, and I have so enjoyed seeing your interpretations of my work. Thank you for all your support, and I look forward to what’s coming in the future!
This project, a Wooly Christmas Greeting, is a free pattern for the wool and cotton envelope, along with free printable notecards. Choose one of the four to go inside, or use all four, and add your own messages of care and encouragement on the back. Kelsey has put together four designs, made with vintage Christmas images: a snowy church, a Swedish Santa, a church scene, and a pile of sleeping kittens. My hope is that, in the spirit of giving, you make these little envelopes for friends and family. Hang them on a tree, tie them to gifts, or, if you are very ambitious, use them as place cards at a meal!
Kelsey and I had such fun designing this project. We love the idea that your recipients won’t throw away the envelope like most of us usually do, but can keep it from year to year to add to their own Christmas décor. It’s quick and simple, and you can add your own embellishments or leave it plain. The possibilities are endless! Download the project by clicking here: https://www.rebekahlsmith.com/free-patterns
Don’t forget to share with us your take on this fun project. Share pictures in the comments below or use the #rebekahlsmith on Facebook or Instagram.
Most of all, may the Lord bless you and keep you in this season of celebration. Merry Christmas!
Update: As an alternative version, you can turn the pattern upside-down! Use the scalloped edge at the top. I filled this one with some pine cones and used a vintage button on my rosette to create a fun little ornament. Share with me your version of this wooly envelope!
Update # 2: Another alternate for Valentine's Day! I made it in antique pink with a fun floral to give Valentines this year. What else have you used your wooly envelopes for?
