One of Kelsey and my favorite things about what we do is collaborating with friends and fellow artists. That’s the point of my third (and Kelsey’s first!) book coming out in August: Exploring Folk Art with Wool Appliqué and More. We drew on our own friendships to create it, and we have made projects which use wool appliqué the techniques that are its “friends”: rug hooking, punch needle, embroidery, cross stitch, quilting, and yarn sewing.
We love the folks who helped us create these projects—which we are eager to get into your hands—and after you get the book, we think you will, too. In fact, we think you will want to meet them!
We would like to invite you to join us for a special one-time event, Wool & Friends: A Christmas Gathering, held at the lovely Punderson Manor in Newbury, Ohio on December 7th, 2019. Come spend the day with us! From 9am to 3pm, you will be able to meet some of the book collaborators, shop their wares (along with ours), and enjoy a Christmas tea luncheon.
Bring a project to work on, maybe even one from the book, and stitch with friends new and old. You will have opportunities to watch our collaborators demonstrate techniques from the book, and you might be inspired to pick up a new skill.
